Jim -
The amazing people I work with took up a collection to keep this site open always! Everyone can continue to leave messages and upload pictures and stuff forever!
Thanks UMTB family!!! You have no idea how much this helps me and my family. I love you all.

Lindy - I am missing you desperately. Please be with me.

Jim, Melanie, Missy, Jessica, and Elizabeth,

Lindy was complicated, fun and a fearless advocate for those she loved. She would do anything for her sisters even when she wanted to knock them up side the head (and there were many of those times, especially for Mel :-)). I remember her and Mel at each other at times and then Lindy would literally give her the shirt off her back if she had it. It was a classic middle sister/little sister relationship except that they were fiercely devoted no matter what.

I wish there had been more opportunities to see Lindy over the years because when we did it was as if time hadn't passed at all. She always called me "Damian" because I allegedly have those kids' eyes from the first "Omen" movie. Every time she would say it to me I'd have some smart comment to say about how she better watch out or Damian was gonna get evil on her. Oh, how I wish I could hear her say that to me again...

She spent Thanksgiving mith me in Atlanta in 1983 because neither of us had the money to get home but she made it from TN to GA. We went to see Duran, Duran and had a really delicious dinner at my favorite restaurant. It was the last time I had alone with her, all to myself...

Lindy will be sorely, sorely missed and forever in our hearts and memories. I still can't believe she's gone, reality just won't set in that way. I hope that all of you, Jim, Melanie, Missy, Jessica, and Elizabeth let her love and all the wonderful times you had together carry you through your grief and take you to a place of calm and peace. Lindy no longer has to deal with the tedium of daily life (and believe me she ain't missing it - I know that without a doubt!) and for that I am grateful.

I will always love and miss her.

Jim, my heart and prayers are with you...

Though I may not hear you…
Though I may not see you…
Though I may not touch you…
I will always keep you inside,
My Mind, My Heart and My Soul.
As we have shared moments in life
that will forever make me the person I am and the person I hope to be…

Love from all your sister Melanie's friends at UMTB.
