Robert Jerome "Bob" Roberts, 81, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1931 in Evansville, Indiana and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1971. Bob served in the US Air Force from 1950-1954, he graduated from Indiana University and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was employed by Hale Groves and Farm Bureau Insurance. He taught insurance courses at IRCC. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church for 42 years calling Bingo, working the annual Harvest Festival and he was a weekly money counter. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, fishing and reading. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Burgess (Mike) of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Rachelle Groetsch (Randy) of Oviedo, FL and grandchildren Dustin, Kristina and James. Bob was predeceased by his wife Nicki in 2008. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church followed by a reception in the North Hall.
