Theresa L. Fitzgerald of Fort Pierce, FL and Goshen, CT died on August 22, 2015.
She was the wife of Dr. John F. Fitzgerald for sixty three years. She was born on Sept. 12, 1931 to Ernest and Eva (Manning) LaCourse on the family farm in Haydenville, MA. Her brothers and sisters are deceased, except for her brother LT. Col. Roger LaCourse of VA.
She is the mother of Thomas P. Fitzgerald (Jackie); Kathleen Palmer (Bruce); Kevin J. Fitzgerald and Kerry Fitzgerald (d. 2012). A grandmother to five, and a great grandmother to five.
Upon graduated from High school she attended St. Francis Hosp. School of Nursing graduating in 1952. Later she received a B.A. degree from Southern CT St. University.
As a wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse she was known and appreciated for her loving gentle manner. She was very conteded in her retirement years in FL. The Staff at Rose Haven in Litchfield cannot be thanked enough for extending that life contentment.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Goshen. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd. Litchfield.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Thomas of Villanova Church Chapel Fund. Kindly visit www.rowefuneralhome.net to send the family an online condolence.

In the years we knew her, Theresa was a gentle and kind spirit, a lovely lady with a ready smile. Our prayers are with her and all of her family.
