Great dedicated man and family. Never knew of his heroics, but it does not surprise me. Many great child hood memories of the Castle. Thanks.

We just learned of Stanley's passing. So sorry we were not able to support you all last week. Stanley was an inspiration and a true testatment to someone who was full of life! What energy. Stanely and Helen really showed us all what commitment, love and family are all about. What a legacy they have both left.

Stanley lived an amazing and full life. Although he will be missed, I pray I am 1/2 as accomplished in my life. The Castle is a major fav in my family. I vividly recall the first time my parents took my sister and I to the Castle! What an amazing experience!
May the family's fond memories offer solace as they grieve and amazing man!

Dear James and Evangeline,
As we go through life, we sometimes cross paths with extraordinary individuals. For us, your Dad was one of those. Although we only knew him for a short period of time, he treated us like family and we will never forget that. I would pick Wendy up at 1 AM and Stanley would offer us a sandwich made with his homemade bread, usually chateaubriand or Beef Wellington, it was special. We where very saddened to learn of his passing and you have our sincere condolences.

We are So sorry to just now hear of Stanley's passing. Your father was a wonderful man a grand chef and a delight to know. I personally can remember him and Helen serving hamburgers and ice cream at the original castle . Stanley would be cooking away and Helen was the hostess. I was a very young child but spending summers on Lake Sargent I always looked forward to going to the castle for an ice cream.
Many years late my husband and I would celebrate our happy occasions at the castle and were always greeted at the door by Helen and Stanley would always come out and talk to us ( my husband was a former restaurant owner and worked for the T&G) He often came out and spoke to the customers. He will be truly missed.
Our deepest and sincerest condolences to your family.
May God hold Stanley in the palm of His Hand.

Dear Jim, Denise, Evangeline and family, what an honorable life to be remembered by.
I am so impressed with all that your Dad accomplished. Every time he saw my Dad, Milton Dorr, he would sit with him and talk WWII stuff. It was such a dramatic part of their lives. May God Bless the entire Nicas family....however 91 years is an amazing age to have lived and manage to have achieved all of your hopes and dreams. Lois and Carl Wicklund
