Greenbrier, TN
Alice Troope Overby, age 72 of Greenbrier, died Monday, December 8, 2014. Mrs. Overby was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry "Tommy" Overby.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Carol) Overby of Springfield, Ben (Kim) Overby of Columbus, GA, Keith (Theda) Overby of Springfield; daughter, Mitzi (Mike) Swift of Clarksville; brothers, Pat Troope of Columbia, Harold Troope of Nashville; sister, Mary Jane Vogel of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Alea, Caleb, Christopher, Matthew, John Thomas, Justin, Hannah, Alex, Eli, Garrett, and Delainey; great-grandchildren, Brody and Gunner.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Crouch and Bro. Jack Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers.
The family request memorial contributions be made to Ashraya Mission, which assist in providing homes for at risk children in India. All donations may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home 2201 Memorial Blvd. Springfield, TN 37172.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at Robertson County Funeral Home, 615-384-0036.

I am very sorry for your loss. Alice was my mama's next door neighbor at Sterling House. The first day Alice moved in, mama went up and ask Alice if she would be her friend. They were and every time I would be there I aways stuck my head in Alice's room and blew her a kiss. She also would give me reports on mama..I will miss Alice and I send comfort to the family
