Mrs. Harrison was one of my teachers in the late 1980's at Stratford. She introduced me to the poem "Invictus" which I still have memorized some 25 years later. Thank you for your contribution, Mrs. Harrison. Rest in peace.

Carrie was first my English teacher many years ago who years later became by sister in-law. She taught me well in school and I attribute many of the things I've accomplished in my life today, to her. I admired her poise and grace even throughout her extended illness. She too like her recently departed brother, Raymond (my beloved) endured their ailments with such dignity. Carrie loved her daughter and grandchildren with such passion. She always wanted the very best that life has to offer for them. So children, please be strong, remember the things Carrie taught you, remember the love she had for each of you! Most importantly, keep God in your life and everything will work out for the good. Remember that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal! I know this for a fact.

Love you,

I met Mrs. Harrison, when I was a student at American Baptist College.
She was a great English professor. I adopted her as my "other mother".
She was such a wonderful, wise, elegant, woman.
I was supposed to be back in Nashville this past week, and I was so looking forward to getting in touch with her!!!
She made such a impact in my life. I will forever miss her, however, I know she is with the Lord.
I pray that God's Peace will keep you and give you comfort.

Vicki, Only the strength, the power and the Love of God can get you through this time of sorrow, but do know that my love and prayers are with you.
