I met Donna in High School. She became a special friend at that time in my life. I remember driving her and Starr Watson to Old Hickory for some function of the “Rainbow Girls” early one Saturday morning. She was kind enough to allow me to walk her to class and also to take her out to eat or to a movie and I always enjoyed our time together. Not only was she beautiful, she was always first class! Lost touch with her after high school (she's two years younger than me). Many years later, her father transferred membership to Goodlettsville Lodge, and I got the chance to talk with her again (2008). She was so very proud of her children, and expressed how blessed she was and how much she loved being a Christian. I was absolutely floored when I heard the news on TV, and my heart has ached since hearing that news of her passing. My prayers are for Donna's family and friends (and me) to find comfort in knowing that she is now with God in heaven, waiting for the rest of us; and that we will all get the opportunity to be together again if we accept Jesus Christ and live our lives in that manner.
Donna, God loves you and so do I. I will miss you. Until we meet again…
