Love you guys, of course.
Eating, relaxing, boating, sailing, Maine, FMB. No BS with Joe. I enjoyed and am thankful for every minute I had with him. I am proud he call me "Capt. Brad: my friend, my brother". Yes, I loved him...

I had the pleasure of knowing Joe since I was a little girl. His daughter Becky and I are friends from way back. The three of us went on many trips together and every one was a memorable blast. I've always thought the world of Joe. He was a wonderful person and one who will be missed immensely. Beck, along with his wife and the rest of his family, will be in my prayers. Liz - we fully recognize that our times are in His hands but Rita and I were shocked and saddened by Joe's passing. Our sadness cannot compare with your grief however and we pray that you will experience God's peace and comfort beyond all understanding during these difficult days of mourning. I will personally miss Joe as a leader of our MGF group and look forward to seeing him again in heaven. Love, Don and Rita Patterson
Liz, Joe was a great friend. He, Robert Andrews and I celebrated our 50th together at RCC with old and new friends to the music of Clarence Carter. Little would we expect Clarence to outlive any of us. joe always made the tee time reservation at RCC for our foursome by putting in a card with the requested time for a "random" draw, and everyone always wondered how we managed to get the preferred Saturday 8am time. That will remaine Joe's secret along with that of some assistant pro of ages back. One specific memory--we were walking up the 18th hole one Saturday and Joe said "You guys will have to make your own tee time next Saturday because I will be on vacation next week" and someone quickly observed "Joe, how do you tell the difference". Joe is now clearly on permanent vacation an I am sure he is arranging with St. Pete's assistant to get the preferred Saturday 8am tee time!!! God bless and our prayers are with you and the rest of Joe's family.
Dear Liz, We were so sorry to hear about Joe. It sounds like he had a wonderful and full life and he will be missed by all that knew him. Hank and Julie Frantzen
Glenn and I were shocked to learn about Joe's passing We were very fortunate to have met Joe from the many, many years he raised money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness fundraiser, Sail for Sight, on Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, TN. His fundraising efforts spanned 10 years, which is how long the event ran. He was always such a devoted sailor and friend during the years we knew him. His smile will be missed. Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family during this time of struggle. May you find comfort in all the wonderful memories of Joe.
Peggy and Glenn Mitchell--Nashville TN

I've so enjoyed our dinners together, getting to know you both. I will very much miss Joe, but I refuse to let you go. Be comforted, if you can, in this: in our religion, these are the most holy of days. G-d wanted Joe in heaven, and now he's always in our hearts, too, with his wicked smile and his soft suggestions for improvement. How lucky we were to know him, if even for only a little while.
Even though we knew Joe had some heart problems it still came as a shock and brought tears to my eyes. Joe did a wonderful job as the reverend for our golf fellowship group. He will be missed.
