So glad George and I were with you two at Cal's birthday party. George idolized this man. He and George will be making music together.
Have pictures when George was playing in Carson. Always in my thoughts.
Mr J P Mayton was a dear friend of mine and I will always remember him for his kindness to Vickie and me. I loved his music and I know he is singing in heaven now. He loved people and he loved The Lord. Will see him again someday in heaven
So sorry to hear of the passing of "Shorty". Nick played music with him in Virginia many times and enjoyed it so much. Another wonderful musician called home to be with the rest of his heavenly choir. We will join you in the choir one day.. RIP our friend.
I am sorry for your family's loss. You will be in my thoughts during this difficult time.
I don't know what to say other than I loved this man, he has been my dads brother and my uncle for 86 yrs, a great inspiration to all, a talent not only for singing but a people person, known to us in VA as JP SHORTY MAYTON, this could go on but I must close in saying UNC I love you and I know you and dad are up there fishing and singing.
