Its hard to say goodbye to someone so dear and precious as Laverna.
I think back when I first met her at Beaverwood studios in Hendersonville. She had a big smile on her face and I could tell right then and there it was the beginning of a forever friendship.
She knew how much I love country music and every Saturday if she was singing at "The Grand Ole Opry", she would call me and take me with her. I would get to sit on the stage right behind the bands. I LOVED IT.
We both cried when I moved back to Utah but we never lost that bond we have in the Lord. She would say we are sisters in the Lord and that is what she called me, her sista girl (she probably called a lot of us that). I am so thankful to God for letting me have such a wonderful & caring friend.
Memories ... wow. I could go on and on.
Laverna ... you have fought the fight, you have kept the faith, now you reap your reward. You go girl!!!
To her family: my prayers, my sympathies, & all my love.
