Hundreds of young men have Mr. Bess to thank for his leadership and patience through his activities with BSA Troop 87. He was a fine role model to many that needed one. My condolences to Rich and his family.
A great man in the insurance industry and will be missed.
Retired from State Auto Insurance Company
I'm sorry for the loss. I was a scout at Troop 87 with his son, Rich. I remember him as a good man that loved and was loved by his family in equal measure. Again, I am sorry for your loss.
Roy was a real gentleman both as a regulator and a colleague in the insurance industry. Our most sincere sympathies. Guy Marvin, III
I had the pleasure of working with Roy Bess in connection with TLHIGA and in his association with Dan Elrod over the years. Roy always greeted me with a smile and treated me with the utmost respect. His contributions to the insurance industry are well known, but he was also a southern gentlemen and a genuine person. He will be missed.
I knew Roy for a long time.So sorry for your loss and our prayers will be offered for you and your family. Doug Breitenbach
Myra: I and Hermie will miss him and our periodic discussions on the Foundation. We will make an announcement at our meeting this weekend in Indianapolis and the entire Board expresses their sympathies. Hermie & Morty Mann
So sorry for your loss. A great man has departed us and is now in a peaceful place. I pray for each family member to hold him always in your hearts and feel the peace in time that he now feels. I feel blessed to have known Mr. Bess...and am so glad I was able to talk to him 2 weeks ago at church. Blessings to his family!!
