So sorry for your loss. It was a shock to see his picture in the obit page, as I can still see the little boy that he was in his grown-up picture. He even wore his hair parted that way when he was five or six years old. We were classmates in a one room school-- Concord Elementary School in Huntingdon, Tn. Actually he was in class with my brother and I was a couple of grades ahead--but in one room, everybody knows everybody else. The family moved to Nashville while he was still very young. I remember the whole community being saddened when they left. My husband and I own the land where his maternal grandfather's (Harmon Elliott's) sawmill used to be.
