I did not learn about Wendy's death until a few days ago. I taught Wendy piano/voice at Jack Marshall Music Studio in Memphis, where I formed a trio that included Wendy, Rhonda Broom, and Sherry Harrison, called the MARSHALLETTES. We also performed on WHBQ on Sunday mornings. What fun we had!! The girls went on to perform at the Ted Mack Amateur Hour in New York. We also recorded an album before then. Through Wendy's friendship with Terry Blackwood, she went on to her amazing career in Nashville. I spoke to her several times after her diagnosis, and she was always so upbeat. I'm so sorry that she is not with us physically, but I know she is singing in the greatest group in the world--the Heavenly Choir.
