Sorry to hear of the passing of Willie,my high school classmate of Haynes High School in Nashville,Tenn.We that knew him here are sadden but;Very happy to know he lived a wonderful an giving life serving God ,Country and a wonderful family.

Cee, Your Valdosta Georgia family is missing you very much(Registers). Thank you for all the memorable Christmas's and Thanksgiving's you spent with us. Momma(Aunt Missy) often said you was like one of her sons. You were truly a kind man with a HEART OF GOLD!!!!

Master Chief Crowder helped cultivate me as a sailor which provided me with diplomatic style of leadership in the Navy

Pete, you were the best to me when I was an 11 year old kid, You were the first person to let me drive a car (your 1969 Mustang Mach 1) and I couldn't hold the clutch pedal down and kept stalling it. Then you took me with you when you picked up your new bright yellow 72 Mach 1. You were always so kind to me. You and Mildred. I have such great memories of my childhood and you taught me that age, race make no difference. When I got my first car you came to Ohio to visit my parents and you took me shopping and bought me a set of speakers for my Mustang. I haven't seen you in many years but you have always been in my heart. I know you were a great friend to my Mom and she always kept me informed on what you were up to. My condolences to Stacy, your family and friends.

Uncle Pete one of the greatest men I knew. I molded myself behind my Unc always trying to stay strong and lead by example.Me and the entire (BERRY) family is going to miss you our family Leader.I will miss you and will forever love you your nephew(SAM & family)RIP I will see you when I get there.Thanks for the guidance I'm truly grateful

I just learned of the passing of my dear friend. Willie was a special friend during my service on the
USS Mahan DDG-42.
For many years after leaving that command, I tried finding him just to say hello. Not knowing where he resided, I never did get that chance and now just by coincidence I stumble across this page. I am heavy hearted but at the same time, I know that Heaven is a much brighter place with Willie there.
Please accept my sincere sympathy and know that he has many friends who will miss him.
