My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Jackson Harris on his passing. I worked with himg and Dr. Harding at Miller's Hospital for a year as their surgical assistant and he was truly a professional in every aspect. I learned so much from him and respected his decisions during each case. Thank you for inviting me to one of his first open heart cases he did while at Baptist. I will never forget his smile and his friendship. God Bless you Dr. Harris. Rest in peace.

I was blessed to have been found by Ginger's genealogy research two years ago. Jack was my first cousin, his father and my father were brothers, both doctors. My father lived in New Haven and taught at the Yale Medical School and was a mentor to the young Jackson Harris, his nephew, when he came to Yale for medical training. The all too brief sharing of our stories, of knowing each other has been a gift to have known my wonderful first cousin.

Dr. Jack was truly an inspiration to us all. He will be missed. We are happy we were able to have a margarita with Jack and Gene.
