Years ago, when I lived in the U.S., Frank gave me some life-changing advice--words of wisdom that led me to the lovely woman I now call my wife. :) Although I had seen him very little in recent years, his passing has been a hard one. I'm just very grateful that I got the chance to say thank you in person before he passed on. Frank, I can't thank you enough. Thank you! Your light is still shining on this end. Lots of love to the family from Canada. –Michael & Sonia.

I will remember Frank as a passionate medical educator at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and an innovative and thoughtful contributor to the research of the Cincinnati Drug and Poison Information Center. I will also always remember the most delicious Christmas family recipe pastries that he sent me each year even after leaving our Center. I want to convey sincere condolences to and prayers for his Wife and Family at this difficult time.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Frank's passing. I have many fine memories of times spent with him at bone meetings, much of it talking about food and traditional recipes from New Orleans. He was a fine man. I will miss him.

To the Bonfiglio family, I am so sad to hear of Frank's passing. A big loss for the world of Pharma and academia. Frank was such an asset to the world of healthcare. He was that rare (very rare) combination of a huge intellect, gifted teacher, caring mentor, capable of getting things done, and social intelligence. When he came to teach us about a product, he took whatever time necessary to actually educate and bring people up to speed (AND he had the ability to teach any learner at any level). If I had students on rotation here at U of L Geriatrics, he would always take time in addition to educating us, to mentor the young ones about their careers and just about anything they wanted to know. What a gem of a man. He will be missed terribly, and we were grateful to have him in our world. Wishing you all strength and comfort going forth.

Kathy and Colin, Although you may not have known all of Frank's colleagues, he was loved by all and was a great friend. I always enjoyed our talks about fishing and when we could find time away from work to go. I have very fond memories of him. Your family will be in our prayers.

Frank was so informative and helped so many older people to learn about medications to avoid. He was an excellent teacher in our Geriatric programs and much of his advice will be remembered and treasured. What a good thing that his information remains, but that does not make up for his warm and compassionate delivery to many of us. I was shattered to hear that we were not able to see him again. My husband has a serious illness and just today before we saw this email, he said he was going to call Frank about his medications because he was the most trustworthy person he knew who was so competent. Cindy we love you and stand ready to help any way that we can. Ruth and Gary Garrett, and all the students who loved him.

Our hearts and prayers are with you Cindy, Colin, Laura and the entire Bonfiglio family. We are heart-broken to hear of Frank's passing. Heaven has welcomed a beautiful soul!! Frank had such a heart of compassion, concern and love for his fellow man. His patients, his colleagues, his customers, his friends and family were all truly blessed to have known him!!!
