I began serving as a Court of Appeals judge in 1982. Mr. Leathers was always helpful and gracious. I am glad I had the opportunity to know him.

Bart,

So very sorry to hear of your loss. It appears the apple did not fall far from the tree. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

When I was chief political writer for The Nashville Banner, part of my beat was the Tennessee Supreme Court. I worked daily with Ramsey and he was very helpful to me in finding out when the major high court decisions were going to be released. He was also very helpful in helping me understand the impact and importance of the decisions. When I was named managing editor of The Nashville Banner, Ramsey took me to lunch to celebrate. He was a wonderful and kind gentlemen, very knowledgeable in the law and a pleasure to know. Ramsey's family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Bracey Campbell, Centerville, TN.
