Mary Delario Obituary

Mary (Kilcooley) Delario

Norwood - Mary Delario (Kilcooley), 82, of Norwood, NJ and Deerfield Beach, FLA passed peacefully with her family by her side on December 8, 2018. One of seven children born to John and Anna Kilcooley (of Galway and Clare, respectively), she was raised on Manhattan's Upper West Side where she attended Ascension School and later, St. Jean Baptiste High School. With a lifelong thirst for learning, Mary earned a BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a JD from Fordham University Law School. As a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, Mary was an associate at Breslin & Breslin Law Firm in Englewood Cliffs, NJ before forming her own practice. Mary is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Regina Scott (Mark Smith), Christine Scott, and Noreen Ross (Tony), as well as her grandchildren: Matthew Ross (Marisa), Daniel Ross, Havana Blehl, Owen Smith, Vaughan Blehl, and Jackson Smith; her siblings and their spouses: John Kilcooley, Patrick Kilcooley (Helen), Eileen Daley (Joseph), Steven Kilcooley (Bridget) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Helen Richards and Theresa Brazee (Norman), and her loving husband, Joseph Delario. As avid golfers, Mary and Joe were long-standing members of White Beeches Golf and Country Club in Haworth, NJ and Boca Del Mar Golf Club in Boca Raton, FL, where they enjoyed many wonderful years filled with good friends, good times and countless rounds of golf. Mary will be remembered by all those who loved her for her style and beauty, humor and wit, kindness and generosity, competitive spirit, and most of all, her dedication to her family. A caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Mary will be dearly missed. Those wishing to honor Mary's memory can do so through kind acts and attention to those in need this holiday season.
