William Campbell Ball, 84, of Mesa passed away at home on January 30, 2016. Bill was born in August 15, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Campbell P. and Mary E. (Bernsee) Ball.
Bill married Shirley Jean Schultz on June 21, 1957. Bill served his country for 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley; sons, Allyn F. Ball (wife, Mary K. Ball) and Robert E. Ball (wife, Dorothy E. Ball); granddaughter, Taya R. Norris (partner, Mika); and grandsons, Daniel E. Ball and William E. Ball. Bill was to become a great grandfather for the first time, to baby Willa Norris, on February 2. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Campbell and Mary Ball.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa, AZ 85204. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Private graveside services will be held at the City of Mesa Cemetery.

We are sorry that we were not able to attend the services for Bill as Lowell was just not well enough to go.

Please accept my sincere condolences with heartfelt sympathy for your loss! While I haven't seen you in a very long time. I know the love you and Bill had within your wonderful family will ease your sadness and put a smile on your face. Bill was a wonderful man! He will be dearly missed. I still remember him when we had our cake decorating classes, always eager to try what you made and help where he could.
