Dear Tompkins Family,
I met your father in IRRA Meetings in Bufflalo in the 1960s - 70s. He lived and breathed labor relations and education. He was also proud that he brought Mary to meetings, she transferred to Niagara where I was her labor professor then became a mediator here in Fort Worth. Mr. Tompkins and I planned to visit in spring during his visit to Mary again. This is quite a loss - Mary, Daniel, Edyth - I extend my deepest sympathy to all the family.
Sincerely,
Don P. Bonhomme

MaryLiz Danny & Edy,
I met your dad at Local 313 in the 1950s. He was a fine Union President who really cared. When you were a baby MaryLiz he brought you into the Union Hall to show you off, then he took you to Labor Meetings in Buffalo and you became the first mediator in Fort Worth. You were always his Union girl! Danny he was proud you drove and traveled. Edy Lou, he loved that he and Frances gave you a home and raised your little boy. You did good. I'll miss Jerry. A great Union President and a kind and generous man. I would have gone to the service if I'd known. Much sympathy - Jim, Local 313

Mary Liz, Danny, Edy Lou,
I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing on. Every time he stopped in for coffee, even to his last months he was so proud of you, his three kids. Liz, your visits were tops to him. He loved seeing you every time you were in town. He really cared about people, especially you three. Gerald would help anyone. I'll miss him, we all do. Liz, Dan, Edy - My prayers are with you,
Condolences and deepest sympathy, Carol
