I am sorry to hear about the loss of Air Marshal Carey Adamson. My first two years in the RNZAF were spent living across the corridor from him in the officers mess at Whenuapai. He is an outstanding officer and gentleman. He was always an excellent example to all of us and I know he will be sadly missed by his close family as well as his wider RNZAF friends and colleagues. To all his chidren, grandchildren and relatives both near and far, please accept my sincerest heartfelt condolences on your very sad loss. Carey will be well remembered by us all.

Mary and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Adamson family, on learning the sad news of Careys passing.
We had followed his stellar career after a year together at the National Defence College, and later served with him and Denyse as Air Attaches in Washington. After retirement Mary and I spent a delightful Christmas with them in Wellington and kept in touch as long as we could. We treasured our friendship with him and Denyse, and our memories of them will always be of them at their best, and there was plenty of that in both.
Per Ardua Ad Astra, BLU LDR.

RIP Carey. I have fond memories of our time together as members of No.34 Pilots Course (1961/62) and also our subsequent trip by car from Christchurch to Auckland to join our first squadron after graduation. You were always destined for great things in the RNZAF and certainly achieved them.

Carey was one of the finest officers I knew, a true professional, an exceptional leader and a gentleman in every sense of the word. I count myself lucky to have served with him. He will be terribly missed. My condolences to the family. RIP Carey.

Very fond memories of the time I spent with this sublime aviator, especially in foreign areas around the globe in a C130. Carey now joins the elite squadron in the skies...RIP Sir.
