Sorry to hear this news. Thinking of the family at this time.
Saturday, 15 June 2019
Sad to hear of Guy's passing. I remember Guy from the Department of Education in the late 80s when he was Education Officer (Music) in Curriculum Development section. He was a passionate advocate for music education who mentored and inspired many people. I had a lot of respect for his work in this area and his vast musical knowledge and experience. My sympathies go to his family at this sad time.

Dear Judy and family, our love and sympathies to you all. Guy lived a full and fruitful life, sharing his many gifts so freely with so many. You will miss him indeed! John and I are so thankful that he was a big part of our lives in Christchurch nearly 50 years ago as newly weds.My time at College with him as my main lecturer, opened up so many possibilities and opportunities. We remember him with deep gratitude.

You have my sympathy for your loss. This is a difficult time for your family, but you can have comfort in God's promise of everlasting life on a paradise earth (Ps 37:29).

I have wonderful memories of Guy leading us so well as part of the Celebration Singers - what a great experience that helped shape my love for music. Thanks for your amazing vision and passion. Blessings to the family.

The Spotswood College Alumni(New Plymouth) extends its deepest sympathy to the extended Jansen family on the passing of Guy who was the College's Music teacher from 1964-1966. Guy enthusiastically embraced the College's music faculty in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. Inspiring groups like the Orchestra, the Madrigal singers and the Choir gave all students involved lifelong memories. One highlight was performing in front of the Queen Mother in 1966, while another was the recording by the Massed Choir of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus in 1965. RIP Guy.
