My deepest sympathies to Jenny, Peter, Greg, Tony and Geof.
It was a privilege to have Paul as a friend, a colleague on several Pegusus committees and to have played hockey with the master himself.
Rest in peace Paul.

As the youngest of the Thomsons I always looked up to Paul for inspiration and admired his tenacity, skill and commitment as a hockey player. He was such a character on and off the field and I have many fond memories of him.My sincere sympathies to Jenny Peter the boys and wider family.
Rex, Keith and Bill had the upmost respect for Paul as as a player, friend and school team mate and they have asked me to pass on their condolences. Thinking of you at this sad time

Our deepest sympathy to Jennie and family and to Peter and family for your sad loss. I had the pleasure of being able to associate with Paul for sport and business, and also socially in our younger days. We played cricket and especially hockey together for many years, going back to 1953 at Christchurch West High School. Paul, it was a pleasure and my privilege to know you. Rest in peace.

49 years ago I came into this world and grew up with you and your boys at Whitehall Street. Great times we had going between the two houses through the hole in the fence. You introduced me to hockey at age 6. Cold mornings on the grass at Hagley Park. I played for many years and now my own son plays. You then employed me as your PA at Claude & Associates where we worked together for 10 years. You have played a big part in my life and I am eternally grateful for all you have done for me. Rest in peace and fly high my friend. Love to Jenny, Greg, Tony and Geoff x x x
