I am so very very sad to just learn of Guys's death. I was going through memorabilia and found a note from Guy and Judy upon the death of my husband, Rev Bill Kintner. I will reach out to the rest of the family. Soooo very sad !!! Many prayers, Colleen Kintner

I have many fond memories of Guy from my time with the Festival Singers of Wellington. Especially memorable were his inspirational leadership style and the many "magical" performance events like the Durufle Requiem concert in the Wellington Cathedral, the Christmas Concert in the Wellington Town Hall, and the bus trips up the North Island to provide choral leadership and long-weekend workshops to many Churches in those regions. He fostered tremendous fellowship and brought quality liturgical choral music to the fore. Well done thou good and faithful servant!

Sad to hear of Guy's passing. I remember Guy from the Department of Education in the late 80s when he was Education Officer (Music) in Curriculum Development section. He was a passionate advocate for music education who mentored and inspired many people. I had a lot of respect for his work in this area and his vast musical knowledge and experience. My sympathies go to his family at this sad time.

The Spotswood College Alumni(New Plymouth) extends its deepest sympathy to the extended Jansen family on the passing of Guy who was the College's Music teacher from 1964-1966. Guy enthusiastically embraced the College's music faculty in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. Inspiring groups like the Orchestra, the Madrigal singers and the Choir gave all students involved lifelong memories. One highlight was performing in front of the Queen Mother in 1966, while another was the recording by the Massed Choir of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus in 1965. RIP Guy.
