Entries in Marie's guestbook are indicative of what a special lady, teacher and friend she was. I found it especially touching that students she taught almost 50 years ago at Bernard Terrace Elementary wrote in to express their memories.
You all are in my heart during this difficult time.
Love to all,

My brother and I both had Mrs. Jennings for 2nd grade at Cedarcrest-Southmoor. I had her the very first year Cedarcrest opened. Definitely one of the best teachers I ever had. I remember her class very well...and I remember having to count to 1,000! Mrs. Jennings was a very special lady and my thoughts go out to her family during this tough time..I know she will be missed.

I would like to express my sympathy to the family of Marie as I was saddened to learn of her passing. I have good memories of her from Bernard Terrace. As a lad of ten or so I remember helping her move her supplies into her first classroom at B.T. We lived close to school and I happened to be on the grounds bike riding. Later when my mother,Leah De Lage, was B.T. seceretary "Mrs. Jennings", Mrs. Daniels and other teachers would occasionally convene at our house for after school coffee and conversation. They were a wonderful group. Great memories.

Marie was not only a very special lady, she was my friend for almost 50 years. She was the most unselfish person I've ever known. No matter what was happening in my life, she was always by my side. People would always ask if we were sisters. I guess they could see how close we were especially when we were shopping. I know how painful Marie's loss is for her family and all of us who cared for her,but her love and wisdom will be with us forever.

Dear Karen Mackey,
I am so sorry about the passing of your mother. She was my neighbor at Audubon Lake for 2 years. She was a wonderful woman and joy to be around. I wish I had known sooner that she was your mother. I would have told her how wonderful you were to me at Learning Express. I am still at Audubon Lake just in another building. If you need anything at all please don't hesitate to ask. Prayers and love to you, Dan and the kids.

Karen,

we know how difficult it is for you to see beyond the pain and sorrow that you are feeling from losing her right now. But remember that although she is no longer in your daily life for you to share things with her in your heart she will always be there and the best consolation is that she has left to be in the dwelling place that Jesus prepared for her. Gloria and I pray that you will find fortitude in the love of family and in the warm embrace that we offer you and yours. Love You
