Stand at ease General, you have earned it many times over. You have run the good race and fought the good fight, you have kept the faith.

You were our war time commander; we trusted in you and were not let down.

Duty, Honor, Country were the words that we held ourselves to and what you expected from all of us as American soldiers. It was an honor to have served with you Sir.

Taps are sounding…A grateful nation thanks you.

Respectfully,
SSG Frank J. Herrick

its my opinion that General Schwarzkopf was the finest General officer and battlefield tactician that the world has ever seen. When I think of the Gulf War, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and Provide Comfort.... I think of Gen. Schwarzkopf as the leader... rest in peace General.

I had the Honor of taking my Dad, a WWII veteran to see "The General" and listen to him talk at UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa on April 6,2002! General Schwarzkopf thanked my dad for serving our country! That simple gesture tells you so much about the man! I thank you General Schwarzkopf for serving our country! My sympathy to your family! May God Bless you all!
