John W. Brown, Sr. was born November 25, 1931 and passed away at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 80, a native of Tangipahoa Parish and a resident of Amite. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Granger Brown; daughter, Sherry B. Tanguis and husband Freddie; son, John W. Brown, Jr. and wife Maxie; grandchildren, Jason Tanguis and wife Amanda, Roxanna Bosch and husband Michael, Donna Roberson and husband John, Jr., & Daniel H. Moore; sister, Louise Singleton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and Frank Lee; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore H. and Ola Golman Brown; sister, Delores Stevens; 3 brothers, Shelby Brown, Clayton Holden & Charles Holden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Clara Granger; brother-in-law, Thomas Singleton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Patsy Gill, Sr.; grandson, Donnie Hendley; great granddaughter, Adalyn Mae Bosch. Visitation at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until Celebration of Life Services at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Rev.
