Ronald David Chustz

A lifelong resident of Morganza, La, he passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at The Crossing at Clarity. He was 73 years of age, a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, who served his country proudly, was also a retired painter and construction worker. He was a devout Catholic who loved and served God. "Ronnie" was also a devoted husband and father and loving grandfather who was dearly loved by his family, friends and community. "Ronnie" was well liked and respected by all and will be greatly missed. He loved fishing and gardening and sharing his vegetables with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda Oubre' Chustz of Morganza, two daughters, Rhonda Chustz Laurent and Gerylin Chustz Bowman both of Morganza, with their husbands, Alfred Michael Laurent, Jr. of New Roads and Michael Bowman, Jr. of Lettsworth, a son Brent David Chustz of Morganza, two foster sons, Harry and Robert Colley of Morganza, one sister Mary Helen Genovese of Baton Rouge, one brother Harvey Stephen of Alexandria, La., three grandchildren, Avery and Maddison Laurent and Kylee' Gueho all of Morganza. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Walter and Myrtle Mable Chustz, five brothers, John Bennett, Peter Aaron, Julius Walter, Ivan Anthony, Charles Winfield and one sister Carol Ann Chustz. Visitation will be at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Morganza on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm celebrated by Rev. P. Brent Maher.
