I had the privilege of spending time with David during my time with the HMAS Arunta Association. David like many who served on Arunta 1 went on in life to make a significant contribution to our world and community. He will be sadly missed. Vale young sailor.

David's lasting contribution to our society lives on the organisations he helped shape, the people he worked with and the friends he shared. It was a pleasure and a privilege to meet him.

David was an inspiring individual who spoke truth to power. Privileged that our paths crossed over the years. Randall Smith,Bristol University,UK.

David was a dignified, honourable and gentle man. It was a privilege to have met him and learnt his life story. I'm going to miss his dry humour. Thinking of David's friends and family at this time.
