Deeply saddened to hear the news of Max's passing. Big man, huge heart, small ego. I think we first met in the late '60s/early '70s - in any case, a lot of wine - I mean water - under the bridge! It was great to connect again on Facebook. Until we meet again in the next room! Deepest sympathies to the family. Vale Max. You were one of the best.

So sorry to hear about Max, Jack. Thinking of you at this time. All my memories of your dad are of him smiling.

In the early eighties we'd meet regularly Thursday nights at the Cricketers Bar at the Windsor, you with Bill Hunter and your thespian mates and me with the Richmond sponsors and Tony Higgins holding court. Strange how that happened. Was great to re-connect when Jules and the crew took over the MPH. Always available for sage advice, always generous with your time, always with a smile. I particularly want to thank you for your recent kind words of advice. Condolences to Heather, Tom and Jack and the rest of the family. You will be sadly missed but fondly remembered:- Louis Blitsas
