On Friday it will be a year since Tony drowned - sometimes it seems like yesterday and others a life time ago. We believed that "doing is better than possessing, that good times are better than good things, that you are truly blessed if you find the one special person you want to share your journey with." Tony was that person for me and because of what we believed I have many happy memories. Tony died doing something that he loved with someone he loved, there are worse ways to go.
I have had so much ongoing support from my family, friends and work mates and I would like to thank them for what they have done and what I know they will continue to do. I also want to thank the Sprite/Healey community from around the world for their kind words - Tony was loved and respected by many. My life is not what I thought it would be a year ago but the "new normal" is OK - some bad days but mostly good ones.

For over twenty years he was my brother from Australia. Our talks, our laughs, our jokes and our time together only made our hearts stronger. He shared his knowledge and I learned abut the man and his true character. He always asked me questions, wanted to get my view of things and was always willing to learn something new. A true friend, we shared so many special times together... hours on the phone.... hours in the seat next to him, driving west or east on the Interstates. The stories that made me laugh, the tales I spun so he could laugh. We shared so many special moments, they became a part of who we were together. Those memories can no longer be shared, they are mine alone to recall. I will miss the anticipation of your arrival, or of your picking up the phone at the Factory. I will miss your assurance of all things Sprite, a fount of knowledge in so many areas. I will miss your calm assertion that you "always had time to speak with me", no matter how busy you were, which was always "straight out!" Your life was part of the fabric of my life, even though we live don opposite sides of the globe. I will treasure the memories we had, the many kind things you did for me and the happiness that we brought out in each other. The American Division - Steve Bell

I am heart broken at the loss of Tony in such a tragic way. He gave endless support with keeping my MIDGET healthy and roadworthy. His zest for life and friendship freely given will stay with me.
