Jon left a legacy to model railroad hobbyists and the public through train projects he designed and developed for enjoyment by families.

1) The HO-scale layout which is now a featured attraction within the Faulkner Country Museum is a testament to his skill.

2) The O-gauge layout he designed with a high-tech control system was shown to the public at the FESTIVAL OF LIGHT events in Conway in December of 2006, 2007, and 2008. That layout is now the foundation of a modular layout which has since been upgraded and enhanced by the Central AR Model RR Club and is shown 2x/year at Train Open House events at the McGee Center in west Conway.

Jon's agile mind created fresh designs and innovations for other layouts which may inspire others to build upon his concepts.

Dear Irene and family,
I was sad to learn of Jon's death. He was a great help to me with computer issues, when I worked at KC, as one of the RN's. He was always so kind and patient with me. We often talked about BSA, as my two sons were Eagle Scouts too.
Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I always liked his disarming smile and his calm personality. I appreciated his knowledge on many subjects including honey bees. May the Lord bless and protect the McFadden family.
We are saddened by his passing.
