I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mark Tyler was an amazing young man. He always amazed me with his random wealth of knowledge and awesome sense of humor. With Fond Memories,
Dear Sally and family,
I learned yesterday about the loss of your son Mark. My deepest sympathy is extended to all of you. How fortunate you were to have such a blessed child, who brought such pride and joy into your lives and became such a fine young man.
Mark, thank you for taking the time to call me in Atlanta to tell me the sad news about your son. I know that you and your family are deeply affected by this.
As you know, I became acquainted with Mark while he was stationed here. While I never met you and Sally in person, I do remember our phone conversations about Mark.
I will always remember Mark for his deep passion for flying. Even after he left Atlanta, he continued to call me from time to time to tell me about his latest adventures in flying and his travels about the country.
My heart goes out to you and I hope that you will find healing as time goes by.
We are so saddened his passing. We got to know Mark when he lived in Stockton KS. My husband is a Marine as well, and we really enjoyed his company. You raised a wonderful young man...and we appreciate his service to our Country. God bless you ...and hold you in the palm of his hand..during this most difficult time..you and your family are in our prayers.
Doc & Lana Thompson (Stockton,KS)
My thoughts are with Mark's family and friends.
Incredibly sad to hear the news. Mark Tyler, however brief, made such an impact on my life, and I'm sure many others. Such a special man. My sympathies to all he has left behind.
I am deeply saddened to learn about Mark passing away. He was a great person. Mark, you and your family are in my prayers. Rest in peace Mark. You will be missed by many.
Mark and Sally, I was truly honored to be a part of the funeral service for your Marine son, Mark Tyler, today at the San Joaquin National Cemetery. When you look at the number of Americans that have ever lived, by comparison only a very few have worn the uniform in defense of the country. It is a unique and select club. Then when you consider the size of the Marine Corps, you are in an even more select group - what we call, quoting Shakespeare, "A Band of Brothers."
God Bless you and I know the Lord will continue to comfort and heal you.
Chaplain, U.S.Navy (Ret)

Mark was a very special young man as he progressed in his studies at Palma. Many might say he was a quiet respectful young man and that was true. But he was much more than that as he was gifted with a grand sense of humor as well as sense of the moment that was well beyond his years. He was the cause for many to reflect and appreciate what we all hold as special and unique. Thanks for sharing Mark with the Palma community. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
