I met Jim when I started my career with the City in March of 1978. I was immediately drawn to his great sense of humor and love of history. He took me under his wing and patiently taught me the ins and outs of surveying and also the art of printing in a clear and concise manner. I soon stated working with him each Saturday and always felt like an extended member of the family. Everyone would gather around the dining room table for lunch and laughter was as prevalant as the food.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Elaine and his children at this time. His smile and wit cannot be replaced but hopefully all the fond memories will carry them through this difficult time.
