I have known Jim for the past 15 years or so, when I was first starting my career in the pharmaceutical industry. Jim was a great mentor to me as I began my work in Regulatory Affairs, and I attribute much of what I have learned in this business to him. I started out knowing him as a colleague, but quickly came to know him as a friend. I will cherish the time that I spent with him, and be forever grateful for the wisdom and compassion he passed along to me. In our last email exchange, Jim's last sentence was "life is good". A simple statement, but one that defines how he lived his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I know he loved his family dearly, and my thoughts are with you all during this very difficult time.
