Arthur worked in the Los Angeles County Engineer and Surveyor's Mapping Division. On the Friday before Labor Day weekend, I remember walking over to the Grand Central Market in downtown LA with Art and Ralph Nunnelly (my USC colleagues) where a 10 pound Carp , at 10 cents a pound was purchased. We were celebrating Art and Ralph departure from the Division that day in 1949..The 4th floor of the Higgins Building remembered Art and Ralph when we returned to work Tuesday morning following a long hot 3 days in which the building AC was left off. It seems that Arthur had forgotten to bring his fish home and had mistakenly left it in his desk drawer.
Arthur did the Engineering plan for my concrete 2car garage at 1964 Landa Street.
Greg and Dawn, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. So sorry for your loss.

Mary, I am sorry to learn of your husband's passing and extend my condolences to you and your family - I know how much it means to have so many close to you at this time.
Dear Dawn, Greg & Family: I was so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Dad. I remember him with warm regard and I know too well the grief you are all feeling now. May God comfort him in His arms forever. Most respectfully, Gina Sullivan-Jalouneix, Rancho Mirage, CA
Mary. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Sending you my love.
Greg and Family, I didn't know your father but after meeting you and Dawn I'm sure he must have done a few things right. It's especially hard when you lose a parent after so many years. With the passing of a family pioneer, there is so much living history and nostalgia that seems to depart us as well. My sincere condolences, God bless.
Greg, so sorry to hear about Arthur's passing. We have many good memories of the sweet and energetic person he was. Our sympathies to Mary and all your family.
I will miss him and his annual visits, especially the unique way in which he presented his meticulous tax records.
