Mike, Jon & Jeff - I'm so sorry to hear the news about your dad. My remembrances of horsing around with you guys and the rest of the neighborhood gang in our backyards (which of course were adjacent to one another) are vibrant and will endure. And whether playing baseball or with rabbits out back or racing through the pathway to Moore Lake or watching the ball drop in Times Square on your basement TV, your dad was attentive, measured and impartial. My brothers Jeff and Kevin and my mom are thinking of you guys and your mom with lots of love. Todd Eckland

Dear Marilyn, Mike, Jon and Jeff--
I am so saddened by the news of Jerry's passing. My deepest sympathies to you all during this time of loss. May it bring you comfort to know how many lives Jerry touched, always positively, as a teacher, coach, administrator or referee. Little did we know, we were interacting with greatness on Earth..

As a neighbor,I recall Jerry's choice of Grasshoppers for a party drink. Ever the careful drinker, he said the ice cream ingredient removed any alcohol from the drink. Doesn't that sound just like him? He was a fine person and leaves many of us with a host of memories. Remember this quote from the German philosopher,Goethe, who said those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time. - JoAnn Rice, Golden Valley, and kids Michael and Kim.

Marilyn, Mike, Jon and Jeff, My heart goes out to all of you during this time of loss. Your dad had a big impact on a great number of people. You all should be very proud of Jerry. I still remember him running the halls and practicing his calls in the gym.

Marilyn,
So sorry for your loss. I have never met anyone with as strong of a handshake as Jerry. I remember as a kid watching him ref NFL games and being so proud that he was from Minnesota. Little did I know one day I would serve as his pastor. He will be greatly missed by many. Blessings to you and your family this week.

We met Jerry and his wife up north at Jon and Cathy's cabin. A wonderful person that everyone enjoyed. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Mike and Jan,
The loss of a Father and friend is never easy even though you knew the time was near. May the Lord comfort and sustain you in your days ahead.

Dear Seeman Family - I am so sorry about the passing of Jerry. I worked with Jerry for years at the Vikings. I was the Press Box Coordinator and the two of us spent time together every game that he was on site. He was the most caring, considerate, and compassionate person! We will all truly miss him, but heaven gained another angel to watch over us.

To Marilyn,Mike, Jon, Jeff,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I've got a lot of great memories from the old neighborhood. We had so many great families back then. I can't think of any of the kids we grew up with that haven't been successful. Jerry was someone I truly respected. Principled, strict and driven. My dad ran into Jerry a couple years ago and caught up on our respective families and what we were all up to...they had a great time reminiscing. You all are in my prayers.
