Speakin' in general, I 'ave tried 'em all
The 'appy roads that take you o'er the world.
Speakin' in general, I 'ave found them good
For such as cannot use one bed too long,
But must get 'ence, the same as I 'ave done,
An' go observin' matters till they die.
. . . Rudyard Kipling . . .
Reading Jack London's "The Road" and found this quote.
It speaks to me of you.
Love you,

Gee you were on my mind on my birthday all day. You always got a kick out of surprising me with something usually a CD of some artist that I hadn't heard of. Now with you and your Dad Steve gone it's so very different. I miss you Son, miss the amazing way you had of making simple things seem magical and hope you know that your magic continues. I love you and would love to hear your voice and that laugh ! That wondrous laugh that was so deep and hearty. Help your Dad out up there.
Love you,
Mom xxooxx

Hello, yeah, it's been a while.
Not much, how 'bout you?
I'm not sure why I called,
I guess I really just wanted to talk to you.
And I was thinking maybe later on,
... We could get together for a while.
It's been such a long time,
And I really do miss your smile

We had some rain yesterday and then the air smelled so wonderful.. only here in the desert does the air smell quite like that after a rain. Fine late afternoon for a ride for you. Awesome clouds hanging over the mountains.. Missed you on Mother's Day so very much. Was sure thinking about you though and how you always asked me if we didn't want to try somewhere else for a change.. and me always telling you No, we loved their food and the Margarita's were really good. Then you'd smile that big ol smile of yours.. I know you are around and about.. I love you and miss you so much.
Always,
Mom xxooxx

Missing you today.

Ever bike? Now that's something that makes life worth living!...Oh, to just grip your handlebars and lay down to it, and go ripping and tearing through streets and road, over railroad tracks and bridges, threading crowds, avoiding collisions, at twenty miles or more an hour, and wondering all the time when you're going to smash up. Well, now, that's something! And then go home again after three hours of it...and then to think that tomorrow I can do it all over again!
. . . Jack London . . .
Missing you oh so very much . .
Love you xxooxx,
Mom

Dearest Jon,
Always in my heart and on my mind. My images of past moments we are sitting outside enjoying a beautiful breeze on spring day and smiling to one another. You are such a special man and I am thankful for all the years we had together. With Love, Ing

Today is Friday the 13th. Ten days since your Pops left us. I know you greeted him and will help him along. He will need you Jonnie oh so much.. I did not know how to reach him, how to catch up with him... The land of tears is so mysterious.

Jon you will always be in my heart. I miss your smile and will always remember the way you were there for all who needed you. You were well loved. The world is having a very hard time filling the space you left in it when you were taken from us.
With much love,
Your ex mom in law,
Carol
