I am so sad to hear about Terry leaving us, but I know if anyone belongs in heaven, it's him. Yes, he did have a "golden heart!" When my son lay fighting for his life in Christ Hospital from a brain anuerysm, he prayed with me for a miracle. He spoke about the rosary I hung over my son's bed, from the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock. He told me the story of the "Golden Rose," and sang her song. My son recovered with no issues. What a comfort Terry was to me then!!! I could tell you many more stories, but if you knew Terry, you have your own precious memories♡♡♡♡

Terry, you were a "gentle giant" on stage as you were in life. I will never forget our time as "double cast mates" in the Pitt Player productions of Oklahoma, Wizard of Oz and others. Sleep well in the Lord, my friend, sleep peacefully. And May the Road Rise to Meet You. Your friend, Pete "Thermos O'Keefe" Barry.

My Uncle Terry was of a beautiful soul. I saw from my early memories the way that he cared for my Grandmother. And I have so many wonderful memories that I know I share with my whole family of the open and outspoken way he drew other people into him. He was sharp. He was witty. I can recall one of the last times I spoke with him, making a point to say that I remembered from a young age that he had such a rich vocabulary. He drew on a deep well of knowledge of history and relayed our family's history with passion. He was a fabulous cook. And I can still hear his warm, boisterous laugh in my head.

Terry, there's so much that a nephew doesn't really know about an Uncle--separated by time and even by distance. But what I do know is that I felt and appreciated your pride and your love. And I hope you know that my deepest hopes for solace and peace are with you always. Rest.

Terry- you are missed. We bought your house in 2011 and we got to know you and love you. Our kids know you as Uncle Terry, and Sam and I consider you family. We are comforted by our fond memories of you, and knowing that you will be together again with your loving parents.
