Dear Diane, Matt, and Grant, I knew Mike very well and consider him one of the very best friends I ever had. His influence on my life was enormous. I think how inadequate any words I might say might be in trying to ease your pain with your loss. Mike had such a profound impact on so many lives. He was truly on of God’s saints here on earth. Those who had an opportunity to know him are all better people for that honor. Many times over the years, as I spent time with Mike, I heard him say hundreds of times, “my dream is to stand before God some day and have God say to me, well done my good and faithful servant.” I will live the rest of my life secure in the knowledge that my friend Mike’s dream came true on Sunday night. As much as I know it hurts to let him go home, I pray that you might find some comfort in knowing that we will never be asked to give up the love we have for him and never ask to forget his time with us. Can there possibly be any doubt that Mike Graham was on the finest Christian gentleman we will ever know. I feel certain that Mike would say to all of us that he is more alive today than at any other time in his life. He rest today in the arms of Jesus and I can’t wait to join him there. God bless you all and I pray God will surround you with his love and grace in the days to come.
