I am only now reading of Mike's death. I am terribly sorry for you loss. I remember him so clearly from the BSM when I was a student there from 1988 to 1992. I know he ministered to many students over many years.

Dianne -
I should have written this email some time ago, upon learning of Mike's passing; however, I just found this tribute website after hearing of it indirectly from Jean Ann. I have read many of the tributes left thanking you and Mike for your gifts in the lives of so many. I am guessing you have no idea of the influence you had on my life as a young girl in Kerens, Texas. My love for Jean Ann and her familiy was established in childhood - her kindness and genuine concern for me and my life was always made obvious by her actions and words. Perhaps it is because of that - or perhaps because of your friendship with my "favorite cousin", Jane Wilson, that you two had such an influence on me. I saw your love and it was a positive thing. I heard your witness in song and word and it was an influential thing. I witnessed your thoughtfulness of family and friends and it made a difference in my choices. Thank you for your faithfulness - to each other, to family, and to the Lord. My thoughts and prayers have been with you often through the past months - I shed tears of thanksgiving and compassion while watching the slideshow and service in my hotel room today. Please know that God put you in the lives of so many for a reason- thank you for providing a positive infuence in mine.

Although it has been over two years since Mike passed away, when I learned of it today and read the messages here, I greeved as if it happened only days ago. As leader of the Aggie BSU, Mike was a great influence in my life when I was a student back in the 80's. I have so many fond memories of Mike and the BSU.... the praise, worship, and message of noon Bible studies; playing 42 and ping pong; helping international students from Taiwan learn English better; and Mexico mission trips.

I was fortunate to go on two trips to Mexico.... one to Matamoros where we helped build a home for a Mexican pastor, and to Miahuatlan in far southern Mexico where we helped construct a church building by passing buckets of sand and gravel up to be mixed into concrete beams for the roof structure.

Through these trips to work with people of other cultures, I learned to appreciate the many blessings God has given us as Americans and how we must share our resources with those in need. My children have also learned this by going on international mission trips to Peru which I encouraged because of Mike's influence on me.

Thank you Jesus for Mike Graham and his years of ministry! Thank you Diane, Matt, and Grant for sharing your husband and father with so many people. Like hundreds of others, I am a life that was changed because of Mike Graham. God's word and men's souls truly are eternal!

I just found out about this today. I was at the BSU back in the early 90's. There was a problem with my transcripts and I missed a semester of school but had already move to College Station. I showed up one day at the BSU and met Mike. He didn't care where I was attending, he just welcomed in. I will never forget how the BSU helped me thru a tough time.

Thanks, Mike. I will see you one the other side.

Dear Diane & Family,
I recently learned of Mike's passing. A church/Aggie BSM group came to my hometown to help us clean up after Hurricane Ike stormsurge; also, I am now receiving again the BSM newsletter. I am very sorry for your loss and for the world's loss.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to visit various parts of this website. I will be sharing it with my family.
I was active in the BSU when Ron Wells was there, and I remember when Mike came to lead us. I didn't get to know Mike very well, but there was no way to miss his characteristics: down to earth, sincere, caring, committed. And of course I remember the two things eternal. I have distributed his trademark quote many times. The Holy Spirit's influence through the humble vessel of Mike Graham is vast and ongoing.
I know that you all must feel Mike's words and actions daily and sometimes moment by moment. I know that it can bring you sadness, but these memories bring you blessings and comfort, too. I pray that God would continue to minister to you and through you.

I was already an Air Force Veteran and the Aggie BSU was the third one I had participated in when I met Mike. During the four years (1983-1987) I was there, like many others, Mike became a spiritual big brother to me. I discovered the news of his passing almost two years later and I grieve as if it just happened. The bolt of cloth Mike was cut from is rare and hard to find these days. I am using this website to introduce him to my family. They say my admiration and respect for anyone man is hard won. He did. Jesus was his first love. Mike will always be missed and remembered.

Diane, this past summer I learned of Mikes passing through David George. I appologize for not knowing sooner because I certainly would have been at the service. I first met Mike when I was a student at UTA and we ended going to Tarrant Road together and playing softball and just really becoming friends. I remember when Mike joined Tarrant Road Baptist Church and how happy I was that I would get to spend more time with him. Mike influenced my life in so many ways, especially his tenderness and kind heartedness for people. He also pushed me to memorize Gods word and made it a goal of mine to be a moral and christian person. Come to think of it he officiated at my wedding. I always looked up to Mike. Later as basketball coach at Lamar I was able to visit with him when we played Coach Terrals team a few times and always looked forward to seeing Mike at the State tournament. Certainly when I heard this news my heart was broken. I had actually called Mike a few weeks before his accident and just visited very briefly. I hope to meet your sons someday and personally let them know what their dad meant to me and my life. After 31 years in education no days go by that Mike Grahams influence doesnt become evident to me and make a difference.

I only learned of Mike's passing yesterday at the BGCT convention in Fort Worth. Mike affected my life profoundly as the BSU director at Tarleton when I was a student there from 1975-1979. Through his tutoring and guidance, I became a Baptist Journeyman to the Philippines, and grew tremendously in my walk with Christ. I know there are many he impacted with his life. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Diane, as you confront the passing of a year. May God bless you all, and may Mike's life continue to be a light to those he touched.

Precious Diane,
My heart is sad to hear that you and your sons lost Mike. In the memorial service, your son, Matt spoke very much like I remember Mike. He was winsome and authentic. You and Mike were the most steady and consistant Christians I had ever met in 1975 at Tarleton State University. Even though I was the Pres. of the FCA on campus, much of my direction and strength came from Mikes influence and friendship. How could I ever forget getting a tear when you would sing "Mary's little lamb" and Mike would close with an offer to know Jesus in a personal way. You and Mike were stars in my life at the tender age of twenty. Thank you,Mike. Thank you,Diane.

Dear Ones,
I just heard about y/our loss. God's grace to you and His Peace.
I am a professor at Southwestern Seminary and owe much of my spiritual growth and ministry calling to Mike. I attended the BSU from 1982-1986. Only eternity will tell how incredible Mike's impact is on the Kingdom of our Lord.
