The Lord used Mike in my life to grow me as a disciple of Christ. Mike's commitment to prayer and evangelism continues to encourage and challenge me to this day. He encouraged me, counseled me, and compelled me closer to Christ.
We feel sorrow at the loss, but comfort in the hope of Christ.
Our prayers are with you Diane and family.

MIKE WAS A MAN OF GOD WHO TOUCHED THE LIVES OF THOSE HE CAME IN CONTACT WITH EACH DAY. WHILE OUR FOUR CHILDREN WERE AT TEXAS A AND M,HE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES THOUGH THE BSU WITH CHALLENGES FOR A LIFE TIME. WE WERE BLESSED BY HIS LIFE.

Diane & boys,
I'm sad that you've experienced such a great loss. Everyone who Mike touched shares your pain. I find particular comfort in the words he always spoke to us BSU students: "There are two eternal things in this world, God's word and men's souls". I know that he continues to taste that eternity even today in the arms of Jesus. I pray that supernatural peace and the balm of heaven would be abundant in you today and the days and years to come.

Dear Diane & Sons,
Even this far away, the news of Mike's sudden departure reached us quickly. Our daughter is a student at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and her New Testament professor came to class and asked for prayers for a close friend of many years(Mike.) Katy texted George and I immediately. We loved Mike and he strongly influenced us and our marriage. Mike was the one who called me once when George was rushed to the E.R. He sat with me & had reassuring words. Our many thoughts & prayers are with you and your wonderful sons. You were a very lucky woman to have Mike as a husband and I know he was an awesome Dad & he loved to talk about all of you a lot. Much love,

What a blessing Mike was at College Station Medical Center! His smile and heart of compassion for his mission in life will continue to have an impact for years to come! Our loss is truly his gain, as he met his Master to hear, "Well done thy good and faithful servant!"

Dear Graham Family,

I just heard of Mike's passing tonight as I checked my email---I was shocked---but quickly given peace by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because I remembered Mike's often spoken words from 1984-1988 (my Aggie years) that "there are only two eternal things---God's Word and Men's Souls"... I thank God for Mike not only preaching that but living it and instilling it in all he knew. I know from his stories how much he loved and served his family. As a husband and father of 4 boys myself, God used him greatly to prepare me for that role before I could even imagine it fully. Our family will be praying for you all to experience the promises from God's Word that Mike taught me in Romans 8:28 and Phil. 4:6-7. We will especially pray for God's peace that passes all understanding and we will rejoice that Mike has gone to his eternal home in heaven where God is saying "Well done good and faithful servant!"

Mike impacted my life and many others' for a lifetime. You all have been such a very special family to me, especially during those college years. I pray God's mighty presence for you during this time.
