Preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Sadie Edwards; wife, Erma Edwards; sister, Rose Marie Edwards; and son, Anthony Edwards. Arthur leaves to cherish his memory devoted daughter, Robyn Edwards; sisters, Helen Jones (Charles), Janice Chandler (Jeff) of Texas, Francis Cook of California; brother, Jesse Edwards of California; five stepchildren, Perry (Elaine) Jones III, Cynthia Harris of Texas, Victor Jones of Wisconsin, Kowanda Jallow-Jones of Wisconsin and Caronica (Lorenzo) Brown of Wisconsin; seventeen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be September 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service immediately following at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church 1502 Mills Rd., Joliet, IL 60433.
