To the entire Korst family I send my deepest
sympathy to you all. I have known Gene and Sal
since they were in school together, Sal being one of my dearest friends. Now they are together once more.

I played with Gene for many years at Hackneys and his trumpet playing was a mirror of is spirit. Gene was a beautiful human being. He was warm, caring, kind and funny. He was a joy to be around and is truly missed. My best wishes go out to his family and friends. His warmth and love will live on in all of us forever.

Sincere condolences to Gene's family. I played in the JUCO and BiCentennial Bands with Gene, a fine gentleman and trumpet player.
