Prayers to the Kennedy family. Bill was a great man and a friend to all that knew him. He always looked for the good in people. I had the honor to have him as my Chief at Amoco and his knowledge and leadership was always apparent. He was a great man! Rest in Peace Bill.

My deepest sympathy to the Kennedy family. I worked with Bill at BP in the early 1980s and I remember his friendliness and willingness to share his knowledge with anyone. He brought a sense of humor and fun to the workplace that would brighten my days! His kindness will always be remembered.

Pam and family, I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Bill for 26 years, 17 of those he was my supervisor. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work for. Bill was the one who inspired me to enter the fire service. I was always amazed at Bill's knowledge, and not just in the fire service. He could build a house from the ground up, and tear apart or rebuild a car engine. I will always remember what a great person Bill was.

To Pam and the Kennedy family, I worked with Bill at the Amoco-Joliet plant from 1977-1981. I remember Bill had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful co-worker. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Priscilla (McDonald) Eskridge.

My heart is HEAVY & tears roll down my face, Tanya was my sister's best friend, and Kellie was always a WONDERFUL BIG sister...Tom, although I don't know you too well..your ALL close to my heart and in my thoughts & prayers. Your dad was one of a kind, and I have many fond memories.., one being, that your family lived in the house my parents would later buy, and still live there!; I pray Mr. Kennedy you RIP and perpetual light shine upon you

Michelle and I were sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We remember him as a policeman for the village. He served on the fire department when my husband, Paul, was chief. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Bill was a dedicated volunteer and it was an honor serving with him as a member of the Channahon Fire Dept. He was an inspiration to us all for his caring and kindness to others and the community and he was always willing to help when he could. Rest in Peace Bill
