So very sorry to hear of Mr. Carey's passing. My earliest recollections of him were from the Disney serial, Spin and Marty, which aired as part of the Mickey Mouse Club in the mid 1950s. I also enjoyed his portrayals of various western characters in many of John Ford's westerns, particularly those he made with John Wayne. He always seemed to portray a character who was endearing to the viewer. My prayers and condolences go out to his family. May the Lord envelope all of you with His love and grace at this time and in the months to come. God bless.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Searchers was the finest classic western ever made and your acting helped to make it so.
It is a person of Harry Carey Jr.'s caliber, as a man and as an actor, who makes us all want to be better "supporting players" wherever we are in life. Thanks for your example, your work, and for the dignity you gave to the guys standing in the background. God bless.
As the Duke was known to say Vaya con Dios.You will always be in my heart and memory.
I listened to him giving an interview on the radio while I was driving from Amarillo to Fort Worth, Texas on the way to have surgery. It was one of the most uplifting moments in my life. He personified modesty and depth of character. I could have listened to him all day if that had been possible. He was truly a credit to his generation and his family. Such a loss to know he is no longer with us.
To the Carey Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. During this time of grief, may you find peace and comfort in the words found in Psalms 55:22.

Mr. Carey Jr. amily,
Memory can tell us only what we were,
In company with those we loved;
It cannot help us find out what each of us,
Alone, must now become.
Yet, no person is really alone;
Those who live no more still echo
Within our thoughts and words,
And what they did has become
Woven into what we are.
Take care, Dobie. Say hi to the Duke. A long time fan.
