We are sure you folks don't really know us, but we know who you all are. We have had a boat at "Ma Fords" since 1983. First we were over on the office side next to Al Dixon and Clerance Knapp. As they said in Mrs. banfield's obit. Oh how we enjoyed the 4th from the POINT. Mrs. Banfield would drive up and down the Marina road and we always wave to her. It go so our three boys (all Blondes) would wave at her too. We finally asked Louise who that nice lady was. So since 1983 we feel we have known her. We certainly will miss seeing her drive by, We are over on the levey now. Our boat's named the Sandy Teddy. We lost two from the marina this last week, Mrs. Banfield and Margie Campbell. God Bless your family. Our loved one can be taken away, but our memories stay with us forever.

To Bill and Marilyn,
So sorry for your loss of a great lady, mother and grandmother! I didn't realize until we moved to Lansing in 1976, and met Pat, that we were related by marriage. Her Uncle Jack Herson was my great uncle by marriage;married to my great aunt Julia Farrell Herson. Fun times discussing all of these connections over the years!! What a fine lady!

For years Bill and I operated the Little Country Store in Myers. Pat would stop in every day to pick up the kids from the school bus. We had wonderful conversations and solved most of the world's problems. I know you all will miss her terribly. My deepest sympathy to you all.

It is with great sadness I read of the passing of this GREAT lady. Since Pat and family were my next door neighbors when I was born a week (9 days to be exact) AFTER Pat's eldest son Billy, it was inevitable, but my good fortune to be a virtual part of Family Banfield almost from day one. So much history! So many great memories! Picnics at Scott's Dam, picnics on "The Point", the parties, the humor, the laughter, the warmth, the understanding, and "yes" the non-cooked eggs. You'll be greatly missed by your "fourth" son.
April 02, 2013
