Dear Aunt Margie,

I am so glad my family had the chance to visit you and Uncle Les;
wish it had been oftener. I am so sorry; I loved the months I spent in your home and am forever grateful for them. You are on my church (Temple UMC) prayer chain, and in my heart.
Love you, "Niece Barbie"

To Kathy and family So sorry to hear the news. Your father helped my mom get hired as the Elementary School art teacher. He touched a lot of lives in his time and will be missed by many.

Mr. Graves hired me in 1970 as a music teacher in Groton! He was a lovely and charming gentle man!
At an open house for new teachers, he shared wth me the story about the loss of his son Terry! And, I will never forget this! My blessings to his family!

I had the pleasure of working with Les when he was at Ithaca. What a charming man. I'm sure he will be missed.

Les was such an amazing person! I'm so glad he didn't think I was too young for the high school office secretarial job and hired me! We enjoyed "punning" together at coffee breaks. He touched so many lives and was known as a kind, understanding, gentle man. He was such a "gentleman" that he mowed his lawn wearing a tie! He will be missed!

Les hired me at Groton. I was always impressed on how he remembered peoples' names when introducing them the first day of school-without referring to his notes! What a personable and wonderful man. My thoughts and sympathy go out to his family.
