Ray was married to my mother, Joyce, in the early 1960s. For most of my pre-school years, I thought he was my biological father. No one could have loved me more. I will always be grateful to him for giving me some of the best memories of my childhood. He will always be my "Daddy Ray."

I just heard about "Ray- Bone" as he liked me to call him. He was a dear friend and always there to help a friend...like when i ran out of gas stranded at the lake house..but he brought it in plastic soda bottles...needless to say I still needed gas. I Remember for his 55th birthday Janine ,Diane and I tied him up and blindfolded him to take his out for his surprise..what a character he was. He called us the Baker girls. I loved Ray...he will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Ray-Bone.

Steve, I'm so sorry to hear about Ray but realize his suffering. He was a friend for many years. I will always remember his warm and fun loving personality.

Steve:
So surprised to hear about Ray. He was always so friendly and joyful. I know how close you both were. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask. My best to Sue, Tiff, Beth and of course to his children and grandchildren. -Nancy

I am so surprised and sad to hear of Ray's passing. Even tho I haven't seen either of you "boys" in years, I have thought of you over the years. Especially the fun we had as kids on the "Flats" My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. I would love to hear from you.
Sincerely, Jeanne Downs Meddaugh
