Sadly I just read about her passing. I will always be indebted to her for her kindness and belief in me. She believed in me enough to ask me if I would come to her classroom after school to have her help me in English. Incidentally, I was no longer in Jr. high. I have never forgotten her kindness and that of both her and her husband in hiring me to do work on their farm!
It is because of the memory of her belief in me that I am both working on an elementary education/special education degree! I never dreamed I even had a dream back then. Now, however, I find myself following a dream!
Thank you to her family for sharing her with those of students who had her as a teacher. We were truly blest! Here is a tearful thank you!

We are so sorry to learn of Mae's passing. She taught Mindy at Berean and was one of her favorite teachers and coaches. I was honored to take an Art class with her a year ago and enjoyed catching up with her family. Thank you for the joy she brought to so many others. She loved her family and spoke of them often. May God comfort you as only He can. Pete and Dorothy Smith

I taught with Mae at Berean Academy for a number of years and also coached forensics with her. What a blessing she was. She had a quiet spirit but also a great sense of humor. I count it a privilege to have known her as my friend. My heart is saddened by her passing, but I know she is enjoying the splendor of heaven.

Thoughts and prayers to the Blythe family. Your daughters were a great example of wonderful parents.
